Angela Woods is a full-time professional oil painter living in southern Utah. Born and raised in southern California, her focus has been to express her passion as a painter of wildlife and the beauty of her surroundings that inspired her constantly, from the many nearby ocean beaches to the local birds and animals. As a child, she developed her innate artistic abilities, drawing and painting, winning awards in high school and regional art competitions. She has illustrated children’s and fantasy books before becoming a full-time artist after raising her family.
Angela earned her degree in Fine Art and Computer Animation, graduating with high honors and winning several awards both in school and throughout the state of Utah. Her work has been juried into art salons in the prestigious annual Springville (UT) Museum of Fine Art Competition for many years, including their recent 2021 Salon. She has had solo exhibitions at Alpine Fine Art Gallery, in Salt Lake City and the Wilson Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro, Oregon, in addition to exhibiting her work in various group shows at Salt Lake City, Park City (UT), Springdale (UT), Lake Oswego (OR) and Cannon Beach (OR).
She was featured in American Art Collector Magazine (October 2017) and has been listed as one of Utah’s top 50 honored fine artists for the past seven years and exhibited in the annual show each year. She is currently featured in a new collection as of June 2021 and a successfully selling artist at Raven’s Heart Gallery in Kanab, UT.
