Name of Class: Pyrography Workshop: Learn the Art of Wood Burning
Teacher: Kaylee Fisher
Date: January 6, 2024 (Saturday)
Description: Join us as we learn all about the art of pyrography – the technique of decorating wood or other materials using a heated tool. In this unique workshop, you will be introduced to the history of pyrography as well as the various types of materials, techniques, and necessary safety precautions of working with this interesting medium. After experimenting with pen tips to create various burn patterns and textures, you’ll create your own design on a cradled wood panel. Design options will be included or you may bring your own 5×5 inch design idea. You’ll also have the option to add color to your art piece.
Most supplies will be provided, we just ask that you bring your own wood burning tool so that you can keep creating outside of class!
