Learn to oil paint with a connection to the Desert and intuition! In this workshop we will learn about one of the modern masters of the west, Georgia O’Keeffe. Beginning with a brief lecture about the artist herself, the majority of the class will be dedicated to recreating one of one of her pieces.

Why Copy Painting?

Copy painting is a powerful tool for beginners because the composition, colors and style have already been chosen, allowing the artist to focus on the process and techniques of oil painting! A master of simplicity in form in the natural world, recreating one of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings is a perfect place to learn.
