After teaching at Sundance for over twenty years, Linda Tay’nahza brings her printmaking prowess back to Southern Utah.  This two-day workshop will center around creating individual artworks inspired by the majestic natural surroundings of Kayenta on Earth Day!

Monotype is a simple, spontaneous process in which prints are made by creating an image on a smooth surface and then pressing the image into a sheet of paper, yielding one unique image.  Utilizing water-based inks, Linda will lead process demonstrations, providing students with inspiration to mix and match varied applications including additive, subtractive, chine collé, blended rolls, multiple drops, bleed prints, and more. Students will choose areas of personal interest, or try them all as they create unique artwork that expresses their individual style. No previous art experience is necessary.

*Please note that this class is limited to eight students
