In this one-day class, you will use fabric as your medium to create a charming small landscape. Along the way, you will learn basic art concepts that can be applied to any artistic endeavor, including the importance of creating space, vanishing point, horizon line, the center of interest, visual pathways, and visual rhythm. Using a selection of fabrics, scissors, an iron and a basic quilt sandwich.
Students can apply a little glue and dry iron to fuse their final composition and, If desired, take their completed projects home to quilt layers of cloth, batting, and backing together. All they will need is a fundamental understanding of using a sewing machine.
